Diego Fernandez is a first-generation American architectural designer, licensed in Chile and currently pursuing architectural licensure in Colorado. He joined ArcWest in February 2026.

Diego’s refined design sensibility is rooted in modern and contemporary architecture, with an emphasis on bold color, thoughtful material choices, sculptural forms, and meticulous attention to detail.

His creative practice extends beyond architecture into ceramics, furniture, lighting, digital fabrication, and functional art, giving him a hands-on understanding of materiality, proportion, fabrication, and craft. During his architectural studies, Diego earned first place in both a national competition and the subsequent Latin American competition, where he represented Chile.

He is especially interested in residential new construction and opportunities to push beyond conventional design solutions, creating expressive, highly considered spaces that balance creativity, functionality, and the individual character of each client.
